How full should my bottle be?
An accurate fill of any given bottle will vary visually.This variation is due to small shape differences between bottles in their glass molds during manufacture and variation in hardening of the flowable glass. It is for these reasons that we now have inline fill checks using volume measurements to confirm the accurate fill level of bottles by the Capmatic machine throughout the run. If you were to just look at bottles, all with the same fill level, you would see some variation which would indicate the variation of bottle interior shapes, and subtle variation in the fill. We set the Capmatic to overfill slightly so that no single bottle falls below the designated fill volume of 5 mL, 30 mL, or 100 mL.
